Remodeling the gardens in a home will instill a sense of tranquility and posterity in one remodeling project. Remodeling a home is the process of remaking or restyling existing structures or designs, updating the existing fabric of the home into something new, whether it really is new or just fresh in the setting of your house. Remodeling a home or adding an addition calls for careful planning and the help of professional contractors.
Garden
These garden areas can be quite thrilling when visitors see hummingbirds swarming around a feeder and birds chirping in many areas of the property at one time. Some people plan their home remodeling projects with gardens to specifically exclude some of their backyard living spaces from view by neighbors. Many of these backyard gardens will be centered on hiding a backyard pool area and evergreens will make grand choices when a barrier wall is needed. The remodeling projects for the gardens in front of the house might require the homeowner to hire a landscaper. Some homeowners choose to plant large trees that they find at home and garden shops in their local area. Some homeowners prefer to use waterfalls in place of fountains in their gardens.

Is your body suffering from electrical pollution?
I can safely say that there are not many moments during our day when our bodies are not exposed to the frequencies emitted from our electrical possessions. We often leave our appliances plugged in and still turned on at the wall even when not in use. Of course we know the electrical current is still flowing as the clock is still flashing the time on our TV/microwave or the on/off button is still glowing red.
We know they are invisible as we can’t see, smell or touch the frequency leave our remote to turn the TV on, change stations or adjust the volume but we know it is true because we get a result on our TV.
We also know that groggy, out of body feeling when we have spent too long in front of the computer or TV. We’ve just been zapped with electrical radiation.
The electrical frequency or current which is emitted from your electrical appliances carries either a high level of radiation or low level of radiation, these are often called EMF’s OR EMR’s.
* EMR’s – emit a high frequency radiation
* EMF’s – emit a lower frequency radiation
Either way, radiation is radiation and we can greatly support the health of our families by limiting close exposure for lengthy periods of time to high radiation frequencies from our electrical possessions.

For years now you have been contemplating remodeling your home because you are ready to give it a new look and feel. So, you are going to go all out and change up the look of everything by repainting, putting in new moldings and fixtures, and even redecorating. To complete the space, you need to make sure that you have the little details in place and antique door knobs are a spectacular option for putting the finishing touch on your remodeling project.
Antique door knobs have a gorgeous appearance thanks to their lovely detailing and eye-catching designs. They can be crafted from all sorts of substances as well, giving you a lot of lovely selections to choose from, perfect for installing on the doors throughout your home. For example, one very pleasing selection is those that are crafted from glass or crystal. Now, they can be very plain, yet sophisticated featuring just a smooth circular sphere or you can get ones that are cut in the shape of rosettes and even small diamonds. You can even get ones that have spiraling reflecting designs set in them and they also come in different stunning colors like emerald green, baby blue, even violet, and ruby red or pink.
Another common material that antique door knobs are crafted from is porcelain or ceramic. These options will usually be oval or circle in shape and what is great about them is the fact that they are the perfect canvas for hand painted detailing and designs. Like, you can get a cream colored one that has a floral theme painted right on it or a white colored one that can have a lovely ring design painted on it.

If you are creating the perfect old home getaway for yourself, you need to pay special attention to the little details that may give away the reality. Modern homes often have modern hardware that will betray their true age. Your average sterile hardware is not going to go with your beautiful Mediterranean home or French chateau. They just don’t add to the character. They actually end up being a conflict in design with your home. Instead those modern door knobs and other hardware pieces are going to stick out like a sore thumb, ruining the experience you have worked so hard to create. This is when you need to say out with the new and in with the old, antique door knobs.
One of the easiest ways to test the décor of a home is through the door knobs of the home itself. From the time you approach a home and turn the knob on the front door to the moment you go into or out of any room through a door, the door knobs help set the tone, visually, for what the home is all about.

A living room addition can be the answer to a number of lifestyle issues as well as space issues for families and add to the value of your home at resale. Your home may have a living room that does not meet the needs of your family or it may have no living room at all. Many new homes are designed with a great room only. While these designs are wonderful for a casual lifestyle, they may not work for you if you need for a more formal entertaining area. Many homes built in the 1940s through 1960s were designed with huge living rooms. They were intended to be the room in which the family lived - multi-functional space for relaxing, watching television, reading, listening to music and entertaining. Certainly many people add living rooms to be family living spaces, but a majority of people also add living rooms in order to create more formal settings for entertaining or escape from the television and the noise of children playing.
There are some words in the English language that are helpful in thinking about the function of a living room. A room in which guests are greeted and entertained might be referred to as a parlor. A cozy retreat might be a withdrawing room (or drawing room). A multi-functional space might be a living room. The first decision you must make in designing the new space will be the function of the room. This will help you determine the appropriate size of the space.
The second group of questions concern decisions about how the space will be created.
* Will you remodel part of your home to create your new living room?

When you hear the term "Aladdin Lamp", your mind probably goes directly to genies and wishes. This is certainly not something you would consider decorating with, or is it? Aladdin Lamps are much more common than one might think. It may even be that you have one or two in your own home, but just never knew the actual name for them. Once you know what an Aladdin Lamp is, you may find yourself coming up with all kinds of ideas of how to incorporate them into your home décor.
The lamps are so named for—you guessed it—the story of Aladdin and his magic lamp. In the early 1900’s, the lamp’s inventor developed an alternative to the yellow, flickery light of a coal lantern. With a special material called a mantle, they give off a steady white glow with no smoke or residual odor. Their utility caught on almost immediately, and their fixture in American decorating was not long to follow. Today, you can find them, the original kerosene burning variety or an updated electric version, in many different types of decorating themes.

The history of beds began 10,000 years ago in the Neolithic period with people sleeping on heaps of furs and plants. These sleeping areas could hardly be classed as a bed nowadays, but the small areas of comfort laid the basic foundations for the concept of the bed. As the years went by, advancement was most likely very limited (except for the use of more comfortable materials). The next major breakthrough came in roughly 3600 BC in Persia. This involved filling goatskins with water and therefore producing the first waterbeds - thousands of years before their time. Perhaps the most important idea came from the Egyptians 200 years later (2400 BC) where the pharaohs would raise a pallet off the ground. At this time, many of the more common Egyptians would sleep on palm boughs piled up in the corner of their homes. It was during the time of the Roman Empire that beds really became a source of luxury and comfort, for the rich at least. The mattresses were stuffed bags and might have included materials such as wool, hay or reeds for the average citizen. The very wealthy would have used feathers.

Pond maintenance is not the easiest task. Between keeping your water balanced, cleaning out disgusting sludge, and controlling algae blooms, pond care can become quite a hassle. What if I told you there was a way to simplify this grueling job with the use of something simple; Bacteria! To most people this word means it’s time to break out the bleach and start scrubbing. Bacteria are not something you would willingly allow to grow or thrive in your house. However, when it comes to your pond there are some types of bacteria that prove helpful rather than harmful. These are called Beneficial Bacteria.
As shocking as this concept might seem, Beneficial Bacteria are essential helpers in maintaining a pond and pond filter. But what are they? Beneficial Bacteria are microorganisms that naturally occur in every water garden, stream and pond. They are about 1/1000th of a cm! How’s that for small? They reproduce asexually. These tiny little workers create more of themselves by budding off of one another. This process takes about 10 minutes. That means they can colonize extremely quickly. Imagine having 144 babies in one day!
How will something invisible to the naked eye help in your pond? Beneficial Bacteria happen to love pond fish waste and other organic debris. They munch on it day and night, converting deadly Ammonia into Nitrites. These Nitrites then become Nitrates which play a principle part in pond filtration. The Nitrates are absorbed by your aquatic plants which in turn give off oxygen into your pond. This Nitrogen Cycle, as it’s called, also helps to reduce Phosphorus and other problem nutrients in your pond.
